Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or oleo
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. shredded American cheese (6 oz.)
6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
Preparation

In a saucepan, melt butter.
Add the flour, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until a thick paste forms.
Gradually add milk. Cook and stir until mixture begins to thicken.
Place potatoes in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Pour sauce over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Yield:
8 to 10 servings.
