Asparagus Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
    2 c. canned asparagus, drained
    3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    1 c. buttered bread crumbs or grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
    Blend in flour.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly and cook until mixture thickens.
    Add salt, pepper and cheese and mix well.
    Alternate layers of asparagus with egg slices in a buttered casserole.
    Cover with cheese sauce.
    Top with buttered crumbs or Parmesan cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
