Snow Peas And Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. snow peas or sugar snap peas
    1 lb. carrots
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    String peas, if necessary.
    Peel carrots and cut in sticks, about 1/2-inch thick.
    Cook carrots in boiling water for 5 minutes or until barely tender.
    Drain.
    Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a skillet.
    Add carrots and toss until well coated.
    Heat through and season to taste.
    Arrange in the center of a platter.
    Keep warm.
    Melt 3 tablespoons butter in another skillet.
    Saute peas quickly until well coated with butter.
    Cover pan and cook 2 minutes.
    Serve peas around carrots.
    Makes 6 servings.
