Scalloped Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1/3 c. sliced green onions
    1 1/2 c. coarsely shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz.)
    3 lb. all-purpose potatoes, peeled, boiled and cubed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs or homemade dried bread crumbs
    bacon bits
Preparation
    You can put this together on Saturday and heat just before dinner Sunday.
