Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can condensed milk
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1 c. water
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Put sugar in heavy pot.
    Mix in cocoa.
    Add water and mix very well.
    Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
    Let mixture come to rolling boil.
    Add condensed milk and butter.
    Lower heat and stir continuously until mixture comes to soft ball stage (250\u00b0) on a candy thermometer.
    Add vanilla.
    Remove from heat.
    Whip with hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into greased 7 x 11-inch pan.
    Allow to cool.
    Cut in bite size pieces.
