Frozen Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mashed strawberries
    4 c. sugar
    1 box Sure-Jell
    3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Mix strawberries and sugar in bowl.
    Boil Sure-Jell and water for 1 minute in saucepan.
    Pour over strawberries.
    Stir for 3 minutes.
    Pour into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace; add lids.
    Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours.
    Freeze until firm.
    May substitute peaches, blueberries or other fruit for strawberries.
    Yield:
    16 servings.
