Lemon Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour, divided
    1 lb. butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1 small bottle red cherries, cut up
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 oz. pure lemon extract
Preparation
    Dredge pecans and cherries in a cup of flour.
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Add remaining flour and lemon extract, beating until smooth.
    Fold in cherries and nuts.
    Pour into a well-greased and floured tube pan and bake at 250\u00b0 for one hour. Test to see if done.
