Oatmeal Raisin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oleo
1 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. raisins
2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
5 to 6 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add 2 cups boiling water. Stir to melt oleo and cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and add to above mixture. Gradually stir in the flour, enough to make a soft dough.
Knead 5 to 8 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in size.
Punch down.
Let rest 10 minutes. Cut dough into 2 or 3 mounds.
Roll each portion to a rectangle.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon and spread on dough.
Roll up, starting at short end. Fit into greased loaf pans.
Let raise again. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. Brush with oleo while warm.
I bake in 3 loaf pans for a shorter time.
