Chuck Wagon Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. carrots, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. bacon, cooked and crumbled
    2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onion
    1 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan and add carrots.
    Cover and cook over medium heat until carrots are tender-crisp, about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Drain and set aside.
    In same saucepan, melt butter.
    Stir in carrots and remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 to 7 minutes.
    Yield: 4 (1/2 cup) servings.
