Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded (4 to 5 c.)
    1 carrot, shredded
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil together first five ingredients for a minute.
    Then let mixture cool.
    Combine cabbage, carrot and salt.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Squeeze all liquid from vegetables and pack into jars or plastic freezer boxes.
    Cover with vinegar mixture.
    Freeze.
    It will last six months at zero degrees.
    Thaw in the refrigerator.
