Country Captain Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. chicken pieces
1/4 c. butter
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 garlic clove
1 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. almonds
3 Tbsp. currants
6 strips bacon, fried crisp
rice, cooked
Preparation

Brown chicken in butter.
Remove to a baking dish.
In same pan, cook onion, pepper and garlic until limp.
Stir in chicken broth and salt.
Pour over chicken in baking dish and bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Stir in almonds and currants.
Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
Serve with rice.
