Delicious Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. cold lard (must be cold)
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. plus 1/4 (as needed) buttermilk
Preparation

Combine self-rising flour and cold lard.
Add baking powder. Cut in until mealy.
Add buttermilk.
Let stand for 5 minutes. Flour your counter or tabletop and roll biscuit mixture into a ball.
Knead gently 8 to 12 times.
Roll out and cut about 1/2 inch thick.
Melt a cup of butter and dip each cut biscuit into the butter.
Place on a baking sheet and bake at 400\u00b0 about 10 minutes or until brown.
