No-Fail Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 sticks margarine or butter
    5 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract (or any flavor you prefer)
Preparation
    Cream in mixer, sugar and butter slowly until mixed; beat at high speed 4 to 5 minutes.
    Add eggs and beat well. Add salt, flour and lemon flavoring. Beat until well mixed, beat at high speed for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Place in cold oven.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325\u00b0 or until golden brown.
