Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. Borden salad dressing
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cold water
2 Tbsp. molasses

Preparation

Combine salad dressing and sugar.
Sift flour, soda, baking powder, spices and salt together.
Add alternately with combined water and molasses.
Beat after each addition until smooth.
Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Frost when cool.
