Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    6 oz. room temperature butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
    1/2 c. chopped dates
Preparation
    Cut chocolate into approximately 1/4-inch chunks.
    Combine the flour, salt and cinnamon.
    Beat together the butter, sugars and vanilla.
    Beat in the egg.
    Stir in the flour mixture.
    Add oats, dates and chocolate.
    Drop by level teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until the edges brown, 6 to 8 minutes.
    Let cool 1 minute before removing to rack.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
