Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. mixed sliced peaches and apricots
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 c. plain flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Drain peaches and apricots. Set juices aside.
    Mix peaches and apricots with 1 cup sugar in a large bowl. Set aside.
    Melt butter in a baking dish.
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar and remaining ingredients to form a batter.
    Stir until mixture is smooth.
    Pour this mixture over the melted butter.
    Do not stir. Put the sugared peaches and apricots on top of the batter.
    Bake for 1 hour. This batter will rise to the top to form crust.
