Tarheel Scratch Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. butter
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
6 eggs
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar together.
Sift the baking powder and flour together.
Add the salt and mix with the butter, sugar and milk.
Beat thoroughly.
Beat the eggs until stiff and add to the rest of ingredients.
Stir well and bake in buttered layer cake pans for 20 to 25 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven.
Spread the layers with icing.
