Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. plain flour
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 sm. can Angel flake coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites (beaten stiff)
Preparation
    Combine margarine, shortening and sugar.
