Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 prebaked cooled 9-inch deep dish pie shell
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    fresh strawberries to fill pie shell
Preparation
    Hull, wash and halve berries.
    Fill pie shell with berries. In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and water.
    Cook over medium heat until mix comes to a boil; boil for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Slowly stir in jello and stir until jello dissolves. Cool slightly and pour over berries.
    Refrigerate and garnish with Cool Whip.
