Vermicelli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. vermicelli
2 Tbsp. bacon fat or cooking oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 small white onion, finely minced
1/2 c. tomato puree
2 qt. chicken stock
1 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped fine
2 tsp. ground red chile
1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Break up vermicelli into small pieces and saute in the fat or oil until a golden brown color.
Then add garlic, onion and tomato puree and cook for five minutes.
Add stock and seasonings and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until vermicelli is tender.
Serves 8.
