Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium green peppers, halved and cored
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, minced
    2 c. ketchup or tomato sauce, divided
Preparation
    Place pepper halves in boiling salted water.
    Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until peppers are tender, about 5 minutes; drain. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine turkey, bread crumbs, egg, salt, onion and 1 cup of ketchup or tomato sauce.
    Stuff peppers with mixture and top with remaining 1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce.
    Bake about 1 hour or until sauce is bubbly and meat is cooked through. Makes 6 servings.
