Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. cherries
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Over cherries put sugar.
    Let stand while you make batter as follows:
    Cream butter with 1/2 cup sugar, then add flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add sweet milk and stir well. Pour batter into buttered baking dish.
    Add cherries and cover with boiling water.
    The batter will come to top while baking at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    You can also use blackberries in this recipe.
