Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 oz. instant coffee
    4 c. sugar
    1 vanilla bean, broken into small pieces
    fifth of brandy
Preparation
    Mix coffee and sugar together and dissolve in boiling water; let cool.
    Skim foam off the top, add vanilla bean pieces and almost the fifth of brandy.
    Bottle and cork.
    Do not open for 30 days.
