Italian Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. or more ground round or chuck
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 onions (large), diced
    2 to 3 garlic cloves, diced
    1 (12 or 16 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to season
Preparation
    Stir and add first four ingredients to large pot.
    Cook and stir on medium heat until meat is white (do not brown meat).
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Put on simmer for 4 hours. Serve over spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.
    The soda cuts acid in tomatoes and causes foam for a while.
