Apple Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 slices bread, cubed
    1 apple, peeled and sliced thin
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sugar
    4 c. milk
    1 stick margarine
    cinnamon
    nutmeg
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Place bread cubes, apple and raisins in a 9 x 13-inch buttered metal pan.
    Heat milk, sugar and margarine until margarine is melted.
    Beat eggs well in a large bowl. Add hot milk slowly to eggs; mix well. Pour over
    bread cubes.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Serve warm with Rum Sauce.
