Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. regular rolled oats
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Combine oats and buttermilk;
    let stand for 30 minutes. Stir together
    until
    thoroughly
    blended the flour, soda and baking powder.
    Add
    melted
    butter,
    sugar and egg to oatmeal mixture and
    blend thoroughly.
    Stir in dry ingredients, just until blended.
    Spoon
    batter
    into greased 2 1/2-inch muffin pans, filling
    each
    about
    2/3 full.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 20 minutes
    or
    until browned and tops spring back when lightly touched.
    Makes 1 dozen muffins.
