Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Measure flour by sifting. Blend all dry ingredients. Stir in preceding mixture. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. (Puffs at first, then flattens.)
