Cabbage Salad(Cole Slaw) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    500 grams cabbage, shredded (or 1 small head)
    3 apples, peeled, cored and diced
    2 to 3 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
    100 grams green pepper, cored and sliced into thin strips (approximately 2 peppers)
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    parsley or dill, chopped (for garnish)
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix together shredded cabbage with salt. Place a plate inside the bowl on top of the cabbage and weigh the plate down to press cabbage down.
    Let stand 1/2 hour.
    Drain off juice from cabbage.
