Sausage-Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. uncooked regular rice
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    2 envelopes instant chicken noodle soup mix
    1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained
    2 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook sausage in skillet until browned; drain.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in next 7 ingredients, mixing well.
    Place mixture in lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Pour water over top. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour and 15 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
