Feather Bed Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake compressed yeast
2 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
1/2 c. shortening or butter
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
5 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Crumble yeast into bowl; add milk.
Gradually add sugar and salt.
Cut in shortening or butter.
Stir in flour alternately with yeast mixture, beating after each addition.
Beat until dough is smooth and well blended.
Scrape dough from sides of bowl. Cover with damp cloth; let rise in warm place for 1 hour.
Punch down with spoon.
Drop by teaspoons into lightly greased pans. Cover with damp cloth, let rise 20 minutes or double in size. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
