Tasty Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. cracker crumbs or seasoned croutons
    2 tall cans asparagus
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    13 oz. jar Old English cheese
    1/2 c. melted butter (for crumb mixture)
Preparation
    Blend 3 tablespoons butter with flour in saucepan over low heat.
    Add milk and cheese and stir until cheese melts (thin with milk if too thick).
    Stir cracker crumbs into 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Line 1 1/2-quart casserole with 1/2 of crumb mixture. Alternate layers of asparagus and almonds.
    Top with cheese sauce and remaining cracker crumbs mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
