Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 1/2 c. water
3 eggs
3/4 c. butter, creamed
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine cake mix, water, eggs and butter; blend until smooth. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Melt caramels with evaporated milk over low heat.
Pour over cake when removed from oven.
(Do not spread to edges.) Sprinkle chips over caramel, then nuts.
Pour remaining batter over all.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Melt caramels while cake bakes.
