Harvest Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
4 c. diced apples

Preparation

Beat sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
Mix flour, cinnamon, soda and salt.
Add to first mixture.
Will be a heavy dough.
May need to mix with fingers.
Add nuts and diced apples.
Bake for 45 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
