Coffee Liqueur - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    1/4 c. instant coffee
    1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 qt. vodka
Preparation
    Bring water and sugar to a rolling boil and boil for 20 minutes.
    Add coffee to 1 cup of boiling water and mix into the sugar water.
    Add the vanilla and vodka; cool.
    Place in a bottle or container and let sit for 1 month, turning frequently.
    The liqueur needs to set for at least 1 month; more time just makes it better.
