Great Grandma'S Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (I use 1/2 lb. butter and 1/2 lb. margarine)
    1/2 lb. sugar (fine granulated is best)
    2 lb. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream butter well until almost like whipped cream.
    Mix dry ingredients together and add slowly to butter.
    I use the mixer as long as possible, then use hands.
    Mold into long square logs and refrigerate at least overnight.
    Let warm up enough to slice. Place on cookie sheet.
    Put holes in top with fork or tenderizer hammer.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
    Don't overbrown.
