Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas
1 3/4 c. rolled quick oats
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in shortening.
Add egg, banana, rolled oats and chocolate chips.
Beat until well blended.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Remove from pan immediately.
Do not overbake.
