Emily'S Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/4 lb. butter
2 c. pecans, broken
4 Tbsp. white corn syrup
2/3 c. water
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a heavy saucepan. Cook until syrup spins a thread or reaches the soft ball stage. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Add vanilla and beat until mixture begins to thicken.
Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Yields about 18 pralines.
