Ingredients

3 c. fresh beets, cooked, drained, skinned and sliced
1/8 c. sugar
1/4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
salt to taste
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in a saucepan.
Blend in vinegar.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened or bubbly.
Add beets and butter or margarine.
Heat 10 minutes over low heat.
