Potato Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes
    6 strips bacon, diced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. diced celery
    2 carrots, diced
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 bouillon cube
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. cayenne
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. soft butter
Preparation
    Peel and dice potatoes.
    Saute bacon with onion in large kettle.
    Add potatoes, celery, carrots, water, bouillon and seasonings.
    Cover and cook gently until vegetables are tender. Add milk and heat through.
    Combine flour and butter.
    Add to chowder.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until chowder thickens.
