Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour (plain)
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
    Beat in eggs, 1 at a time.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Place in greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
