Mexican Pecan Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. oleo
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. white Karo
1/4 tsp. soda
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix all ingredients except pecans and vanilla in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil, add pecans and cook to a soft ball stage (a few drops in a cup of cold water holds its shape). Remove from heat and add vanilla and beat by hand until creamy. Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or spread in buttered dish working fast because it sets up real quick.
