Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. water
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add vanilla, water and flour and mix well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Shape into small balls or fingers.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in oven at 325\u00b0 for about 20 minutes. Remove to rack.
    Cool slightly.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
    If desired, dip end of each finger in thin chocolate icing.
    Makes 3 dozen.
