Ham And Asparagus Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    2 c. cooked, diced ham
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut asparagus, cooked
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 baked deep dish pie shell
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in a saucepan.
    Stir in next 3 ingredients. Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
    Stir small amount of sauce into mayonnaise, then stir into mixture in saucepan.
    Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice; cook until heated.
    Turn into pie shell.
    Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
    Broil about 2 minutes, until lightly browned.
    Serves 6.
