Blackberry Jam Cake With Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. white sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. blackberry preserves
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream together margarine and sugars.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each one is added.
    Stir in buttermilk and preserves, mixing well.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to mix.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    (Test with toothpick.)
    Cool.
