Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    2 c. buttermilk
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1/4 c. very warm water
Preparation
    Combine
    flour, sugar and baking soda.
    Cut in shortening
    and mix with hands until it feels like coarse meal.
    Add yeast
    which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup of very warm water. Then add buttermilk and mix well until all dry ingredients are absorbed. Cut
    off
    desired
    amount
    of
    dough and shape into biscuits. Bake
    in
    preheated
    450\u00b0
    oven
    for about 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
    Serve with butter.
