Thermos Flask Lunch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. well washed, yellow, split mung beans
1/4 c. Basmati rice, well washed
1 1/2 c. assorted fresh vegetables, cut into small pieces
whole or ground spices to taste (salt and pepper, cumin, ginger, etc.)
1 Tbsp. ghee
2 c. water
Preparation

Briefly saute the spices in the ghee.
Add the mung bean dahl, rice and chopped vegetables.
Cover with the water and simmer for 5 minutes.
While still boiling hot, quickly pour the mixture into a one-liter or one-quart thermos.
Close the thermos quickly and leave it closed for about 4 hours.
The meal will cook and be ready to eat after 4 hours in the thermos.
