Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. white Karo syrup
3 1/4 c. peanuts
6 drops red food coloring
1/4 lb. butter
pinch of salt

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil.
Add 3 1/4 cups peanuts and food coloring. Cook to a hard boil stage over medium heat.
Remove from heat. Add butter and salt. Beat until thick. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper lined cookie sheet. Cool. Store in airtight container.
