Ingredients

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
2 or 3 large ripe bananas
1/4 tsp. salt
2 or 3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked and cooled pie shell
Preparation

In a heavy saucepan, mix sugar, flour and salt.
Add 1 cup of milk mixed until smooth. Bring to a boil
over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Let boil until smooth and thick, about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Beat egg yolks with fork into remaining cup of milk and add to first mixture, cooking again until smooth and thick. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cover and cool.
