Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
few grains of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 egg whites
Preparation

Place sugar, syrup, water and salt in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cook to a very hard ball.
Before it reaches this stage, beat egg whites until stiff.
Pour the syrup into the egg whites (beat while pouring).
Do not scrape bottom of pan.
Continue beating until the mixture holds its shape.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Drop on a piece of wax paper from a teaspoon.
