Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of ground nutmeg
    3 inches stick cinnamon
    2 qt. apple cider
    orange wedges
Preparation
    Combine sugar, allspice, cloves, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and cider in a large saucepan.
    Slowly bring to a boil; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Remove whole spices.
    Serve in warmed mugs with a clove studded orange wedge in each.
